Details details!

AMAZING!  These kids are doing so well, and it is fun to see them shine!  Following are a few details and information that you may need to know...

TSHIRTS
If you missed out on ordering t-shirts and would like one, please fill out an order form at the concessions table.  If we have enough orders to meet the minimum order requirements, we will place an order.  Do not pay or leave money, we will collect funds only if an order is placed.  Cast t-shirts were $10, hoodies were $20.

COSTUMES
Please be sure you have paid for your costume.  If you haven't paid and need to know how to do this, contact the person in charge of costumes for your group.

  • Silly Girls:  Jennifer Smart (jattbs1@hotmail.com)
  • Be Our Guest Chorus: Mary Ann Fuhriman (maryannfuhriman@msn.com) - note went home today (2/28)

PARENT HELP
First, THANKS YOU for all the hours that have gone into the show.  Everything looks amazing and it is a tribute to all of you and your willingness to make something great for our kids!! However, if you have found yourself unable to help out, remember your obligation to pay $20.  The contract to participate in the play outlines this responsibility.  We prefer your work to your money, so if you still need to find a way to help out, please let me know.  If you need to pay, please provide payment in an envelope marked with "your name" and "participation".

TICKETS
You and your friends can purchase tickets online up until 30 minutes before the show begins.  After that time, you may purchase tickets at the door.  If you still need to purchase tickets, we have learned that purchasing tickets on a desktop computer provides the most reliable service.  All functions of the website work well in this format.

PHOTOS
Special thanks to Meredith Ethington for taking our cast photos and live action photos of the shows on Wednesday.  You can access them at this link:  https://drive.google.com/open?id=1cWFdRd89mdpdTyguLZWFFECSRspARoL2

Stage Helper Needed

We have two wonderful moms who have volunteered to manage the stage.  They both would like the opportunity to watch the show, so we need a parent to come help direct things backstage.  This parent would need to be available for Wednesday night's performance and the Friday matinee.  Please text me if you are willing to help and see the show from a new perspective!

MAKE UP AND HAIR

MAKEUP
All performers need to have basic stage makeup applied before coming to dress rehearsals and performances.  Take some time to teach your performer how to apply makeup, this way he/she can take care of his/her self for dress rehearsals and maybe then feel confident enough for performances.  Create a bag for your performer’s makeup to keep with his/her costume.

Basic stage makeup includes the following (boys and girls):

  • Foundation and powder
  • Blush
  • Eyeliner and mascara
  • Lipstick

We do not have people available to apply makeup for the full cast.  We have many roles that require extensive makeup, and our makeup staff will need to attend to these performers.  Unless told otherwise, leads also need to come with basic makeup applied.
HAIR
Please find the instructions for hair below (by role):

Villagers:
Abby Packer, Berlin Birth, Flower Sellers, Silly Girls, Olivia Morris, Hayden Johnson (milkmaid) will have half up half down with ribbon.  Please curl hair.
All other girls in villager chorus will have up dos.
Ainsley, the Lady with Cane will have a bun.
Aristocratic Ladies will have up do and a hat.
Tysha is dressing as a boy

Be Our Guest:  Hats for all. Girls should have a tight, low, bun.

Wolves: Girls wear low ponytail. Boys have messy hair.

Narrators: Long curls and white head scarf

Enchantress: Long curls hidden under hood and then loose.

Belle: Low ponytail curled and Frenchie twist away from face-as in the movie with a blue bow and then yellow bow

Maurice: spikey powdered gray.

Gaston: pompadour.

Le Fou: slicked back.

Madame: wig

Babbette:  curled up do

Cogsworth: George Washington style

Lumierre:  whatever fits underneath his candle

Mrs. Potts:  Lose bun on top with a little doily thingy on the bun

FOOD AND BELONGINGS
Students need to bring a basket, bag, crate, something, to hold all their personal belongings during the show (makeup, costume, etc.).  Please mark all belongings with your performer’s name. Absolutely NO FOOD/CANDY will be allowed backstage, so please be sure your performer is well fed before coming to performances. Students should come with a water bottle to keep hydrated--it gets awfully hot backstage and onstage!
